The Imagine Durban project will be holding four regional workshops (north, south, west & central) for all Faith Based Organisations, Non-Governmental Organisations and Community Based Organisations that operate within the eThekwini region.

The purpose of these workshops will be to:-

1. Share the Imagine Durban Plan that represents a vision for a better Durban that government, civil society organizations, faith based groups, tertiary institutions, business organizations and ordinary folk have identified through the Imagine Durban consultation process
2. Hear about the outreach projects that your organization is involved in
3. Develop a partnership with you organization for the future
4. Facilitate networking between FBOs, NGOs and CBOs

The Imagine Durban Project is pleased to announce a new call for demonstration projects.   Three separate project categories have been identified for this call:

Project Category One:  Schools and Food Security – R100,000 allocation

Food Security has become an increasingly important issue both globally and within South Africa.  Nationally many government departments and non-government organisations have taken up this issue through the promotion of numerous food gardening projects.   One area where there has been particular focus is on the promotion of food gardening projects within schools.   The purpose of the project category is to provide an opportunity to implement a project that will show case long term sustainability in schools food security or to test an innovative approach to schools food security.
